Babysitter Cookies

I make these cookies with kids when I babysit sometimes - they are the easiest and yummiest peanut butter cookies EVER!
Here is the recipe:

Babysitter's Cookies
1 cup Peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

1. Mix all ingredients together really really good.
2. Shape into balls and bake @ 350 for 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown

You could even get fancy and dip it into melted chocolate and let cool.
:P

Be-lated Weekly Top 10 Songs!

So, I'm back from a family reunion.... I'm the oldest of 8 grandchildren on that side - fun fun. It was pretty boring, so there really isn't much to say about it - no crazy parties this time :( Needless to say, this reunion did not take place near a body of water, so to make up for it I've compiled a list of songs with a nautical/sailor theme to them (as my be-lated Weekly Top 10 Songs List):

1. O'Sailor - Fiona Apple
2. Sea Lion Woman - Feist
3. Sailor and the Shadow - Keren Ann
4. Drink the Water - Jack Johnson
5. Sailor Song - Regina Spektor
6. Sea Legs - The Shins
7. Edge of the Ocean - Ivy
8. Sailed On - Landon Pigg
9. Swallowed in the Sea - Coldplay
10. Seagull - Shout Out Louds

**Not an interesting post - promise more interesting posts this week!! lol

Got 'em!

Walking in from the parking lot at Dillard's, I spotted these gladiators. Leather, Metallic, good price. I still decided to make the rounds of the mall, but saw nothing else as amazing - so I GOT 'EM! Last thing on my summer shopping list checked off! Carpe diem!

I Could Play All Day if I Could

This picture was taken from that Sunday where my friends as I frolicked in our sundresses. We set the camera on timer (and set it on an unsturdy cardboard box - we're smart) and it just caught our legs. I still think its a fun picture though. The top 10 songs this week make you feel like a kid in the summer. A feeling I thing we all want and love to feel.

1. We're Going to Be Friends - The White Stripes
2. A Doodlin' Song - Peggy Lee
3. Australia - The Shins
4. Do-Re-Mi - The Sound of Music Soundtrack
5. Puff the Magic Dragon - Peter, Paul and Mary
6. All Day - Lisa Loeb
7. Jungle Gym - Jack Johnson
8. We're from Barcelona - I'm from Barcelona
9. Almost Rosey - Tori Amos
10. Quiet Town - Josh Rouse

Holding Out for a Hero

Since March - MARCH!, I've been searching for the perfect, preferably metallic, reasonably priced gladiator or "Aphrodite" sandal. Sure, I've got leather sandals, sure I've got gold sandals, but I've not come across my perfect marriage of the two. As shoes go, silver and gold are my neutrals because they will go with everything. Due to my un-successfulness of finding these refined pieces of leather, I think I might be willing to spend a little extra money than I would have... good thing I've been babysitting for the last 2 weeks! Wish me luck in my never ending quest!

Official Paris Je T'aime Domestic Trailer

Paris is on the brain! But this movie does look really artsy and cool. It's only playing in select cities, so I'll probally have to Netflix it...Feist sounds like she's singing the song in the trailer - so you know it will be a good soundtrack!

Arc de Triumph

The Bastille

Modern Museum = interesting - my mom wanted to go

The Eiffel Tower @ night... so beautiful. I loved it when they put the blue glittering lights on (last picture) Oh La La!

Such a Dream

Just like those amazing songs that are too short, so is Priscilla Ahn's EP (available on itunes). I saw the cover and it looked cute so I checked it out (that's how I find cool indie music). I bought it and now I'm in LOVE LOVE LOVE. The only downside is that it has just 5 songs on it. My favorite is "Dream" but only because it sounds just like me when I was a little girl. Actually the whole tiny album makes me feel 7 again, running around in my glittery clear jellies, looking for faeries.... which is a very good feeling. Buy this album now!!! and fervently await for more of her music to come out. Oh to feel young again!

This Day Last Year (6/8/06)

Montmarte - this is that "forbidden" place in the movie Moulin Rouge /Sacre Cour (spelling?) - that picture came out really good!

MOULIN ROUGE!!!! We didn't go to a show though:(.... it might have been awkward to go to a topless show with my parents. I don't know, just a thought. But that movie is one of my favorites! / Eiffel Tower from Montmarte
