Camp Walden for Girls

Cookies, Eleni's Bakery NYC

Noooo! Only 4 weeks left to my "summer" before I move to college. I am ready for it, but right now I am savoring every moment with my friends and by myself. My 3 besties and I really cant get enough of each other. Last night we had a pool party sleepover where we watched So You Think You Can Dance and painted our shirts for tomorrow night, which is the midnight release of BREAKING DAWN (part of the Twilight series). Seriously, if you haven't read those books yet and are willing to fall in love with a fictional vampire - READ THEM! But anyways more about that later.... Then on Saturday night my Spanish bestie is having a paella party for our whole group. We've been doing like 4 things a week together like all summer between every one's schedules and vacations, etc. We have had a few crying fits but no meltdowns - YET! I've always wanted to go on a camping trip with my friends where we can make s'mores, sing our indie folk songs around a campfire and gaze at the stars. Ideally Big Bear California would be the premiere camping location, in the summer, but we will probally resort to someone's back yard. So whenever we are ready to pack our backpacks and go camping, here would be my "songs to play around a campfire list":

1. Desiree - The Elected
2. Why Should the Fire Die? - Nickel Creek
3. Little Boxes - Weeds Soundtrack
4. It Wasn't Me - Jenny Lewis
5. Romulus - Sufjan Stevens
6. More Adventurous - Rilo Kiley
7. Shroud - Ani DiFranco
8. Cannonball - Brandi Carlile
9. Time On Your Side - Emily Jane White
10. I Taught Myself To Grow Old - Ryan Adams

So I'm putting the blame on my friends for the "lack" of posts per week I guess lol

i LOVE campfires! they are seriously one of my favorite things in the world.. you must eat lots of s'mores & go search for sticks in the woods to roast them on:)

enjoy your last few weeks with the friends! when do you leave for school?

Oh back in the day when lindsay was normal & everyone wanted to be her hehe, my friends & I used to dip our oreos in pb & knew all of the lines haha, but that camp is rather fancy in real life haha- they can eat in the cabins!? (no, bugs!), they can swim without lifegaurds!? (no! esp not at night!), they have electricity (well I didn't haha), still it is the ideal camp film. i'm so glad you're having such a good summer with your best friends, I wish I had friends I truly liked enough to spend so much time with haha. i'm gonna read twilight soon b/c everyone tells me about it haha. oh & i love love love romulus, so sad, but beautiful!
