Imagine you a New York socialite in the olden, vintage glamorous days meeting your best friends out for your usual Friday lunch... that's exactly that Luella Bartley was picturing when creating her Luella SS09 collection. The netted hair pieces, pearls, ruffles - all in petit fours frosting colors are simply delicious and definitely is something I want to "lunch" in. Though the colors are bright, they don't come off as comical in any way. I think these clothes would taste good with some mimosas, french macaroons, some appropriate colored cookies from Eleni's bakery in NYC, and a cake I made a while back that is drenched in pearls...

The pearl cake is beautiful! It looks so pretty and yummy! I love the bright orange outfit, but then again I have a soft spot for the colour orange.

oo luella is genius I swear, there is something so frivolously fun about this collection, lovely candy colors, fun fabrics, crazy cool tailoring, it truly does match your color palette and that cake looks fab!
