The Pierces

I first discovered this sister duo on the cotillion ball gossip girl episode. They were those girls on the stage singing and swaying left to right, remember? Anyways after hearing their music and having it stuck in my head, I decided to buy their second album Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge. The sisters leave behind their southern, Alabama accents while singing but a weensy bit of "twang" can be found in the music and beats of their songs. Provocative, femme fatale lyrics...french pop-ish.... a little banjo and theatrical moments add up to one unique and cool CD!

The Ditty Bops

If you liked The Pierces, then the next step is to listen to The Ditty Bops. I first discovered about the lover duo on a Grey's Anatomy CD and immediately bought all of their albums, and not one song is bad! They're VERY theatrical, folk, waltz-y, and love to use sound effects. Its all very fun music and sounds like something they would sell at an arts and crafts folk gallery. Their 3rd CD comes out soon as well - I am very excited!

**I put some of both The Pierces and The Ditty Bops on my music player - enjoy!
