Well first I need a date, but it is time to go dress shopping. I HATE all what's out there at the malls - all that slinky/cheap/scrunched/tacky crap. It's going to be a long process to find the perfect dress - IF I go. I really want to find a vintage dress because I don't want to look back and laugh at what I wore. If a vintage dress has stood the test of time so far, then I think it will for many decades to come.

Valentine's Day Party

I put boa feathers on the chandelier ( no surprise). Then I handmade hearts with all different types of paper and hung them on ribbons from the chandelier. I made three main cakes. The one to the left has airbrushed royal icing flowers all over it and the one to the right is fondant. Below the cakes I made heart shaped meringues. I have a HUGE picture frame that I cover the stove with. According to the party, I decorate the frame differently - a collage. It's my #1 party planning tip. The last picture are mini chocolate cheesecakes.

Happy Chinese New Year

I know that the Chinese new year isnt until the 18th, but in case if you're planning early here is a cake I made for an Asian themed party:Its fondant and i painted the dragon on it with gel food color. I wrote in "Happy Birthday" in chinese and attached it to chopsticks.
